The bar at Ibsens Hotel

Bar & café

The bar at Ibsens Hotel is part of the Nansensgade settings. It’s open for hotel guests as well as Copenhageners. Our bar & café is located in the lobby and is featuring sofa corners, dinner tables and outdoor seating. Enjoy good coffee, local beer and several variations of G&T. We use organic coffee beans as well as fresh, organic milk, or soy milk  if you prefer that.

The bar at Ibsens Hotel has specialized in G&T. We base our G&T on Hernö Gin, from the little East Swedish distillery of the same name. The gin is made of their own homegrown wheat spirit, which is added 8 different herbs 18 hours before distilling. We have a small selection of good wines, several of which are organic. The beer is brought in directly from Nørrebro Bryghus at the other side of the Copenhagen Lakes. Go visit if you can. It’s a only 10 minute walk.

Ask for gløgg in the bar

We are serving a slightly different version of the traditional “julegløgg” with cranberries soaked in grape brandy from Den Ny Spritfabrik by Esrum Lake in North Zealand and hot apple juice, cold pressed from organic apples. We have also added a mixture of Danish fruitbrandys and a little Angustora bitter. Enjoy the Christmas punch outdoors or by the fireplace!

Cozy Hour & Live Session

Once in a while, or mostly every fortnight we have live music at Ibsens Hotel – we call it Cozy Hour & Live Jazz. It’s almost always from 17:30 and for an hour. Who will play is postet on Facebook and in our event calendar. See the event calendar »
