This summer’s new festival at ZOO combines family fun and learning. A visit to zoo is much more than visiting the many exotic animals. From June 30 through September 16, a new guest area with 25 giant sand sculptures, a play area and food trucks make up the Sand sculpture Festival, which raises awareness of ZOO’s many important conservation projects around the World. The festival’s new kids’ area helps combining play and learning. Here, the younger ones can get guidance when creating their own sand animal sculpture or draw with sand on light tables. Access to the festival is included in the normal entrance fee.
From the 8th of June – 31st of August, you can get an insight into what makes us feel at home in the city. For the third time, Danish Architecture Centre (DAC) hosts its Photo exhibition “Fang din by” (Capture your City), and this time the theme is all about home. It is free to visit the exhibition at Bryggepladsen. The exhibition Works together with DAC’s “Welcome Home” opening exhibition at its new location in BLOX at the Copenhagen Harbour Front. Very often there are small festivals during the weekends. Visit also the small food marked in the meetpacking district, where you at weekends can find various kinds of street food.
